Say it with me, O P I N I O N. Does your opinion represent the collective thought of every single person who bought Killzone 3? Are you telling me that everyone thinks Killzone 3 is a 9.0+? Why are you so bothered by an 8.5? Last time I read, it means GREAT on IGN's scale. Also, IGN has gotten harsher in terms of scoring since they changed their score scale. There has not been many 9+ between all systems.
@HeavenlySnipes
Too bad you didn't listen to the podcast from 2-3 episodes ago, because the reviewer came on and discussed why he scored it an 8.5. He obviously likes the game based on what he was describing and elaborating on some of the drawbacks.
A few things I would also like to point out:
-Where is it set in stone where 'the most immersive shooter out' MUST score a 9+?
-Also, I assume the sound includes voice acting-...
So, you're saying that they should not go out of their way to interact with their fans and provide limited helgast editions of Killzone 3 for anyone to win? You are also saying that the reviewer for Killzone 3 never called the game the most immersive shooter out there? Food for thought.
So, because IGN called Killzone 3 great and the reviewer personally comments how no other shooter out there immerses you better into the environment, makes them less credible...right...
@PirateThom:
I honestly think that extends to a lot of other parts of IGN. Podcast Beyond has featured many editors from other parts of IGN who are just as passionate about the PS3 as they are. Granted, there are some that are less than enthusiastic, but you can get the feelin...
Nevermind...you edited out your inflammatory comment (:D)

Fair enough! :)
The reason why LG decided to sue now, is because Sony decided to sue them regarding Cellphone patents. Hence, it was Sony who started the whole chain of events leading up to now. If Sony did not make that move, then everything would be fine, and neither of the companies would be at each other's neck.
So I assume you played the game. What parts do you disagree with? I eagerly await your response.
Right. IGN sucks, they gave Uncharted 2 a 9.5. They gave inFamous a 9.0. They gave Metal Gear Solid a 10/10. I should not listen to them because their reviews suck. Get a life.
So I must assume that you have already played the game. What score did you give it? Seriously, criticize someone when you actually have some EVIDENCE to support your claim.
Even though they did not capitalize on the creation tools, you neglected to post how they responded positively to all the other questions, citing that the game is fun. Thus, I see no wrong with IGN here, especially since not everyone is talented enough or dedicated enough to try and create the level. Some people just want to have fun with what is being given rather than create something of your own.
For instance, I love Starcraft 2. But are you expecting me to love and const...
To affirm what Trroy just mentioned, Activision just released their 4th quarter financial information and the executive summary area mentions that True Crimes: Hong Kong has been canceled so they can focus on other ventures...
Shift is aiming for a different type of simulation. Rather than focusing 100% on car physics and what not, they are focusing on the driver experience. AKA what it feels like to be in the driver's mind when everything is going on (i.e. the driver's head will look towards the turn in order to better assess his position). Hence, it is a simulation racer, but of a different niche.
We won't really know until a legitimate comparison video, I'd imagine.
I agree. Screw the haters. BEYOND!!!
I'm pretty sure n4g.com is supposed to be a safe for work and non-explicit environment. I'd recommend changing your avatar.
Ignorance? I'm pretty sure he has some legitimate concerns listed there. Did you read and fully comprehend the article? He mentioned price--which is a definite concern. This is the most expensive handheld Nintendo has brought out to date, even adjusted for inflation compared to their previous handhelds. Additionally, the warning label for the 3DS is sure to garner some curiosity for the worse. This can really turn off parents if they think the product is a detriment to their child's e...

Even though the website is reputable within the stock market community and how it brings up several good points? Right....
This is a bit different though. It's really uncharted territory. Motion control was something other companies dabbled in before Nintendo brought it to mass appeal. The price point is higher compared to all their previous handhelds even adjusted for inflation. Also, the warning label might turn off a lot of parents who want to buy it for their kids, compared to the DS. These are legitimate concerns, but then again, things always turn out interestingly.
I think 8 Days and the Getaway were cancelled long before Phil left WWS. And to be honest, Shuhei Yoshida has done a fine job as his replacement. He has continued to emphasize everything that Phil did and even tried to broaden the ideas that Phil wanted to implement. That can be clearly seen by NGP. He emphasized the software more so than the hardware in order to ensure that all parties are on the same page from day one rather than being handed the hardware and being asked to figure it out.
